Samaritan Care Center:
Providing Prayer & Hope to the Washington Community
Now Helping 740 Families
The Samaritan Center, City Mission’s community outreach program, provides food, clothing, furniture, and other necessary household items at no-cost, to families and individuals throughout the community who are in need.
In addition, Paul Smith and the incredible team of Samaritan Care Volunteers are actively engaged in providing fellowship and support, giving the working-poor community of Washington County a sense of hope.  (Pictured left to right:  Volunteers Amber & Mary, Samaritan Center Manager Paul Smith, and volunteer Gretchen.  Inset: Paul Smith)
Story from Crystal D. who was recently at the Samaritan Center speaking with Paul:
“I checked her in as a new client and heard her story of just getting her teenage daughters back from an abusive situation they were in,” said Paul.  “I asked if we could thank the Lord and they agreed! We all huddled together and as I prayed for them, the Mom began to cry and both daughters hugged her and held her and the woman who rescued the girls was part of the prayer huddle as well. It was amazing!”
And it’s all because of YOU!  Thank you to all of our volunteers and donors for your continued help and support of City Mission’s Samaritan Care Center.  God’s blessings to you!
