Susan is a resident at Avis Arbor Women’s Shelter. Each day she and dozens of residents make their way across the City Mission grounds to attend classes in the new and improved Life Recovery program.

Both the men and women’ programs benefit from the classes which offer subject matter covering these crucial areas:
      •  Recovery
      •  Spirituality
      •  Character
      •  Life Skills
      •  Relationships
      •  Job readiness

Susan is on her way to a group class called, “Crossroads”, with material written by Edward T. Welch and taught by House- coordinator affectionately known as “Miss Nettie”. The lessons in the Crossroads workbook present ten steps in recovery from a Biblical and practical framework that applies to all negative and addictive habits. Excited, hopeful and ready to learn Susan said, “I love it!”
