To ensure the safety of our residents, staff and volunteers, ALL individuals must go through WCM’s volunteer application process and be approved before beginning a volunteer assignment. The application process includes a criminal background check. Applicants desiring to volunteer at Avis Arbor Women and Children’s Shelter must also complete the child abuse clearance form. Applicants for volunteer driver positions must complete a driver’s record screening. These clearances are good for one year, so if you have a recent clean record check from another source, we can accept that as well.
