THE PARACLETE volunteer PROGRAM
The
Washington City Mission exists to share Christ...
A new
ministry opportunity at The Washington City Mission
We are about to launch the
Paraclete Program, a chance for volunteers to come along side our
residents and walk-ins at our meals.
The program is dynamic, the
purpose is intentionally flexible. Through the Paraclete Program,
the homeless and needy of the community can learn how to benefit
from Mission services, our residents and others can fellowship with
mature Christians, have someone pray with them and—while the program
is not an evangelism crusade—perhaps come to salvation.
The structure of the program
involves trained volunteers coming to meals at our community
kitchen, waiting and being served with our Mission residents and
walk-ins, praying and dining with them and helping them begin or
advance their Christian walk.
The program is for mature
Christians and involves a commitment. Volunteers in the Paraclete
Program will be required to attend a training session, they must
agree to visit the Mission in their Paraclete capacity at least a
few times per year and attend a future Paraclete Workshop.

Please
prayerfully consider being a part of this opportunity to come along
side those in need. Home | Programs |
