QUICK FACTS

The Washington City Mission exists to share Christ, to shelter, to heal, and to restore the homeless to independent living - without discrimination.

Last year alone, the generosity of our donors enabled the Washington City Mission to provide all of these crucial, life-giving services:

 

• 133,000+ nourishing meals for Mission resident and low-income, walk-in guests

• 420 food baskets

• 27,451 nights of safe shelter for our community's homeless men, women, and children

• 1458 families and individuals received furniture

• 5,234 medical intervention-both emergency and preventive care at the on-site Arbuckle Medical Clinic

• 156 individuals received transportation assistance

• Professional and supportive counseling for addiction, mental health, and spiritual restoration

• Work readiness and Next Step programs to prepare and train Mission residents for their return to the workplace to independent living

• Emergency food/care/transportation for victims of natural disasters and the needy

• Four Hidden Treasures Stores for community outreach with economically priced clothing, household goods, and furniture
