Dennis Kennedy
Denny was born and raised in Brookline, a small neighborhood in Pittsburgh, which he calls the “best place ever in the world to grow up.” He attended Seton LaSalle High School and earned an Accounting degree from West Virginia University. After graduation, he was hired by Deloitte, one of the largest accounting firms in the world. He cut his teeth there, learning everything he could, while earning his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. That launched him into a very diversified career over the next few decades at such places like a Servistar Hardware Corporation and 84 Lumber. After consulting in various industries, the past five years he has been a Professor of Corporate Finance at the University of Pittsburgh in Greensburg. But he is most proud of being a father to his four children. “No matter what I did for a living, that would always be my greatest accomplishment,” he said. He strives to be a father his children can depend on, and he wants them to always know they are loved unconditionally. When he’s not at work, Denny loves to spend time with his family and stay active in his church community.
