Dean Gartland is President/CEO of the Washington City Mission in Washington, PA, serving the greater Pittsburgh area. Prior to becoming President/CEO, Dean was the Vice President and Director of Programs at the Mission. Dean is past President of Dean R. Gartland Consulting, Inc.

Dean’s professional background in mission leaderships includes 28 years of service at Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh, PA. Dean served in various capacities, including Director of Discipleship, Director of Programs, and Chief Operating Officer.

Brian R. Johansson

As a Pastor’s son and native New Yorker, Brian grew up in the intercity neighborhood of QueensBridge and attended public school. After college, he married Peggy and worked as a project manager in the construction field. In 1992, Peggy and Brian felt the call to work with the large homeless population in NYC. They started driving around Manhattan to give out food. One night, standing around a fire barrel in Columbus circle, a homeless man told Brian about the Bowery Mission.

Brian went to work for the Bowery Mission in 1993.

Dr. Sally Mounts

Sally is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army and a former Veteran’s Affairs Program Director. She has a doctorate in Psychology from Yeshiva University, and Master’s degrees in Psychology and Journalism from Rutgers University and West Virginia University, respectively. Sally was the first woman commissioned to the Armed Services from The College of William and Mary in Virginia, in 1971. She is the 2017 Washington County Athena Award Winner, an award that recognizes her leadership contributions to the Washington County in general and to women in particular.

City Mission has been a part of my family for many years. My father started as the Chaplain and then eventually became the Director of Programs. He shared with our family his passion to help those suffering from homelessness due to mental illness and addiction. Shortly after graduating from California University of PA in 2008 with a BS in Finance, I was offered the position of Volunteer Coordinator at City Mission. Fast forward to 2017, I now  hold the Director of Finance position. I held a few positions in between but, as always, God had a purpose for it all. He has been my main source of guidance in my career starting with choosing my major to a place of employment to actually doing what I dreamed of so long ago. He has filled my heart’s desire to use my skills and gifts to honor Him by helping the least of these.

Beatriz Harrison

Beatriz is an accomplished and strategic marketer with a comprehensive marketing, communications and branding background; experience includes high performance achievements managing products in the financial, consumer packaged goods, restaurant, retail and non-profit industries.

She has worked with several Fortune 500 companies, including Capital One Auto Finance, Wells Fargo Bank, Jenny Craig International, Tropicana Orange Juice, Clairol and KFC Restaurants.

Her experience includes result-generating, leadership roles developing brand strategy, marketing communications strategy, and deploying integrated advertising campaigns across traditional and digital media platforms, as well as in-bound marketing tactics.

Additionally, Beatriz also brings unique capabilities to the Pittsburgh market with her proven Multicultural & Diversity Marketing background. She brings first-hand knowledge and insight of the Multicultural consumer, and how these demographics are redefining and transforming the U.S. “mainstream” landscape.

Mark Vinoverski

Mark is a 1980 graduate of Ohio University where he received his BS in Communications. After graduation Mark was blessed with the opportunity to play for the inaugural baseball team fielded by Athletes in Action which travelled to South America, Canada, and Alaska.

In 1981 Mark began a career in the restaurant industry which spanned 32 years primarily with RAX Restaurants and the Wendy’s Company. He worked in various roles including Regional Training Manager and Senior District Manager. In 2014, Mark was called to serve the homeless as the Manager of Client Support Services and the Assistant Director of Operations at the Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh. In 2017, Mark felt the call to join the team at the Washington City Mission in his current role as the Director of Hope Enterprise.

Mark is married to the love of his life, Karen, and they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
